As a Catholic community in the Benedictine tradition, and called to be good stewards of all the Creator has given us, we respect the sacredness of the green space where we have lived and worked for more than a century.

On the gates of ancient monasteries, the word PAX (peace) was engraved. Following in that tradition, we have dedicated our monastic grounds as a Place of Peace. Throughout our property can be found Peace Poles with the words “May peace prevail on earth” in many languages. Here on our grounds, we offer to all people a place to come for quiet, prayer, mediation, beauty, and peace.

Our Prayer Silos, Labyrinth, Lourdes Grotto, Stations of the Cross, and many gardens are open to the public each day from sun-up to sun-down. Self-guided walking tour maps and brochures are available at the Portress desk.
